(Bishkek, Central Asia News Agency) On September 23, the Kyrgyz Parliament held a session, during which lawmakers raised a series of pressing issues concerning the condition of regional schools and hospitals, roads, natural gas supply, and other infrastructure projects. The press office of the Kyrgyz Parliament released this information.
Lawmaker Maksat Arymbekov pointed out that there are problems with the use of the “Tulpar” transport payment card in the village of Sadovoye in the Alamudun District. Under the administrative division reform, part of the village was incorporated into the city of Bishkek, while the other part remains under the Alamudun District. He stated that this has caused inconvenience for local residents.
Lawmaker Gulzhan Sadyeva said that the only Kyrgyz-language school within the jurisdiction of the Nardzan village government in the Moskovsky District is currently housed in two kindergarten buildings. She emphasized the need to accelerate the construction of a new school building.
Lawmaker Ismanaly Zhoroyev called for resolving the issue of selling coal from the Suluktu coal mine to residents at affordable prices. Lawmaker Dastanbek Zhumabekov said that in the village of Kyzyl-Oktyabr in the Bakai-Ata District, one building of the school is used for teaching, another houses a kindergarten, and a third teaching building is in a dangerous condition. He proposed constructing a new teaching building.
Lawmaker Ulukbek Uzakbayev raised the issue of renewing the local hospital in the village of Taldubulak in the Zhaïyl District, and demanded clarification on the start date of the Susumyr–Aral highway.
Lawmaker Kamila Talieva said that the condition of district-level and village hospitals in the Batken Region is unsatisfactory, and called for repairs to begin as soon as possible in response to residents’ demands.
Lawmaker Altynbek Kudaiberdiev pointed out that the problem of drinking water supply for residents of the Toloikoen village in the city of Osh remains unresolved. Lawmaker Azamat Israilov proposed increasing the quota for electric vehicle purchases by another 10,000 units.
Lawmaker Zhanybek Abirov said that although the natural gas supply project for some villages in the Leninsky District of Bishkek is ready, the related works have not yet begun. Lawmaker Bekmyrza Cholponbai uulu called for the installation of streetlights and corresponding road traffic signs along the strategic highway passing through the village of Kok-Art in the Suzak District.
