(Bishkek, Central Asia News Agency) On September 24, Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Marlen Mamataliev met with Ali Jaber Al-Ghufran Al-Marri, Ambassador of Qatar to Kyrgyzstan. The press office of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported this.
During the talks, the two sides exchanged views on expanding political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian ties between Kyrgyzstan and Qatar, as well as on developing inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
Marlen Mamataliev noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1998, their partnership has continued to develop and political interaction has steadily strengthened.
He emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s intention to further expand inter-parliamentary ties, conduct joint activities, strengthen the work of parliamentary friendship groups, and organize bilateral mutual visits.
The Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament also conveyed greetings to Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Chairman of the Consultative Assembly of Qatar, and invited him to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
Ali Jaber Al-Ghufran Al-Marri expressed gratitude to Marlen Mamataliev for the warm reception and the support provided. The Ambassador noted that Kyrgyzstan is one of Qatar’s important partners in the region and emphasized the need to strengthen interaction and promote the development of inter-parliamentary relations.
In addition, the two sides discussed the development of trade relations and the continued implementation of projects in the humanitarian field.
